By upgrading their parking lot lighting to LED luminaires with integrated occupancy sensors and bi-level dimming control, Vancouver Community College (VCC) increased safety and security for staff and students. The project also realized more than a 75% reduction in energy consumption compared to the old metal halide and high-pressure sodium luminaires.

The project is one of many lighting upgrades that Prism has implemented with the College as part of their Strategic Energy Management Plan that now generates over 3 GWh (3,000,000 kWh) of electrical savings annually compared to their 2010/11 baseline.
