Robert has focused his 30-year career in the energy management field, supporting organizations in applying a holistic approach to energy management. He has developed Strategic Energy Management Plans, carried out energy management audits, determined energy savings opportunities, designed building upgrades of HVAC and lighting systems, and acted as an Energy Coach to support and sustain Strategic Energy Management programs. Robert’s expertise also includes Monitoring, Targeting and Reporting, and he is well known as an energetic workshop facilitator for energy management training.
Robert is proud to have conducted training on behalf of leading organizations and utilities including BC Hydro, BCIT, the Building Owners and Managers Association of BC (BOMA BC), Manitoba Hydro, and NRCan’s Office of Energy Efficiency. He is also the recipient of numerous awards for his work from the Engineers and Geoscientists of BC (EGBC), The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and BC Hydro.
In his downtime Robert spends time with his wife and two daughters, carefully monitors the Canucks’ and Habs’ hockey seasons, and trains for triathlon and cycling events.
