The indoor aquatic facility at Western Financial Place is operated by the City of Cranbrook.
Prism conducted an energy audit, followed by detailed design and specification for a new heat recovery chiller. This low-carbon alternative provides pool dehumidification heat recovery to offset heating by natural gas boilers.
Natural gas consumption was reduced by 4,100 GJ per year (equivalent to approximately $35,000 in savings) and approximately 220 tons CO2e per year of GHG reductions, or 30% of sitewide emissions.
